Samuel Yellin, the 20th Century’s foremost artisan in iron, started his business, Samuel Yellin Metalworkers, in 1909. He called himself a blacksmith, but others called him a genius, a devil with a hammer in his hand.

In continuous operation for 99 years, Samuel Yellin Metalworkers, operates under the direction of Clare Yellin, granddaughter of Samuel Yellin. The talented staff includes Chris Tierney [head blacksmith and designer], Chris Winterstein [blacksmith], and Matt Gilbert [apprentice]. Samuel Yellin set the highest of standards in quality and design for his custom forged metalwork. Today, 99 years later we continue to produce the same excellence in our metalwork from light fixtures and hardware to gates, grilles, railings, fire screens, andirons and furnishings.
