Minimatics, Inc., founded in 1961, provides precision machining services to the high tech community in Silicon Valley and other locations around the globe. By the early 1980's Minimatics had grown from a modest small precision machine shop to a leading small part manufacturer of hard disk drive components, shipping over a million hard drive parts each week. Today we produce precision machined parts for the medical, aerospace, telecom and other industries and our expertise in precision machining ranges from exotic "controlled expansion alloys" like Kovar and Nickel Alloys to other specialty metals (Beryllium Copper, Cu-Ni, Monel, vacumelt core iron etc.) and space age plastics (Vespel®, Polysulfone, Meldon, Peek, etc.).
Regardless of your project's scope and size, Minimatics' performance will meet your industry's exacting standards on time and on budget. With a diverse customer base that spans startups to Fortune 500 corporations,. Minimatics knows the unique material and quality standards required by telecommunications industry leaders. We specialize in precision small parts machining from low expansion alloys like Kovar, for metal to glass seals to commonly machined materials like stainless steels and copper alloys. Minimatics uses Sulfur Free cutting fluids in order to prevent contamination / "outgassing" in the final stages of part assembly.
While anyone can purchase equipment, and call themselves a machine shop, what distinguishes Minimatics from competing high-tech machine shops are our people and our culture. Our production floor team has an average tenure of 15 years; they are journeymen craftsmen in their respective fields. Our skill matched with the correct equipment for the job allows us to accurately machine complex aerospace parts and prototypes with little waste thus reducing costs and turnaround time.
