Quality American welding manufacturers
Welding consists of joining two or more metal pieces of various shapes and sizes together via the use of high heat.
The heat is used to melt the parts together and then fused with filler material when cooled down. Pressure may also be used in combination with temperature to form the weld. Gas or another shielding substance is used to protect the weld from oxygen and maintain its strength as it's being formed.
The most common welding methods in manufacturing are MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), and flux-cored arc welding. TIG is the most popular method as it produces a cleaner and higher quality weld in most cases compared to the other methods.
Need to find a supplier that specializes in welding? Sourcing your product in America reduces your delivery times, costs, and environment impact. Use Mark1 to easily find & compare from over 13,000 US welding manufacturers.
