Quality American plastic extrusion manufacturers
Plastic extrusion occurs by heating material and forcing it through a die, which shapes the plastic into a continous shape that hardens during cooling. After the plastic material is cooled, these continuous linear products can be cut to length. The extrusion process is ideal when a variety of lengths of the same shape are needed. If multiple materials are needed to produce a product, then a co-extrusion process can be used.
This process enables manufacturers to efficiently produce a high volume of plastic with the same shape at different lengths while minimizing design and setup costs. Products produced via plastic extrusion include deck railings, drinking straws, industrial piping, medical device tubing, vinyl siding, and wire insulation.
