Quality American forging manufacturers
Forging consists of shaping metal by applying external force to the material such as hammering, pressing, or rolling. In many cases, the metal is heated during the forging process, although forging can also be done at room temperatures (i.e. cold forging). Secondary finishing processes are usually required. Forging is used in the automotive, aerospace, defense, and manufacturing industries.
Forging can result in components that are stronger than those produced via casting or machining with many shape varieties and minimal waste. The operational costs of forging are lower than other methods but come with significant capital costs for equipment and facilities.
Need to find a supplier that specializes in forging? Sourcing your product in America reduces your delivery times, costs, and environment impact. Use Mark1 to easily find & compare from over 600 US forging manufacturers.
