Regardless of the manner of construction of your design project, the final operation usually involves your desired finish specifications. Mack Prototype has made a substantial investment in machinery and our ability to create your desired effect. Our DuPont paint system is capable of matching over 3,300 stock colors, with an unlimited amount of colors available through visual color matching. Each of our paint technicians has attended the DuPont Master Finishing School to receive training on color matching and finishing procedures.
The new presses include a 50 ton, 1 oz. shot machine; three 110 ton machines with 3.4 oz., 4.9 oz. and 6 oz. shot capacities; and a 165 ton press with a 10.6 oz. shot capacity. These units will be replacing two Van Dorn 85 ton, 6 oz. machines; one Van Dorn 170 ton, 20 oz. machine; and one Demag 50 ton, 3.4 oz. machine, for a net gain of one press and increased flexibility. Additionally, to support the new units the Gardner, Mass., based company has invested in ventilation and electrical system improvements. The new presses are expected to be up and running by early July.
Mack Prototype offers precision injection molding services for prototype through production volumes. We have extensive experience in producing short run, high mix parts for the medical industry, as well as supporting higher volume and cosmetic production parts for many industries including electronics and aerospace. Overmolding and insert molding, utilizing a broad range of materials that include high temperature, high performance polymers, and custom blend composites are also part of Mack Prototype�s extensive portfolio of manufacturing options. Our 85K sq ft facility is an ISO 13485:2016 registered, and we are UL approved. Mack Prototype has eight presses ranging from 28 to 230 ton.
