Press braking is a mechanical metal deformation process that involves forming and bending sheet metal into different shapes and assemblies. A press brake fabrication machine is used to make precise and reliable bends in metal sheets. It can be fitted with a variety of punches and dies to form the bend. With a presser, the sheets are bent into specific shapes at points to meet the specifications. An automatic back gauge helps to position and hold the sheet, increasing the repeatability.
Plasma cutting is a process that cuts through metal materials on the application of hot plasma jetted on the surface. It is most suitable for cutting sheet metal of ferrous and non-ferrous metals and works by making an arc between an electrode in the nozzle (torch head) and the metal surface being cut. This nozzle then forces compressed gas which gets charged with electric current and is hence called plasma. Additional gas around the cutting area helps to create cleaner cuts.
